The 9th Ward, (or
Ninth Ward) is a neighborhood in east New Orleans, most famous for being flooded by
the levee breach that occurred during Hurricane Katrina.
The 9th Ward is the city's central for local Rap/R&B music and home to record label <B>9th Ward Records</b> and <b>
Fats Domino</b>.
The 9th Ward is the last neighborhood leaving east New Orleans, bordering Chalmette.
